Chani’s life changed on May 30, 2008. While returning to her home in Grand Junction, the car Chani was in rolled. In the following days, Chani was diagnosed as an incomplete quadriplegic. Although doctors mentioned that Chani would likely never walk, after less than a year, she is now capable of taking several steps per day.
